Minutes of Meeting

January 3, 2012

The January meeting was called to order by President Jim Fedorich at 7:30 PM at the Torrington Elks Club.  Ten people were in attendance. 

The Secretary’s Report for December was read by Secretary Bob Hart and was accepted as read.

The Treasurer’s Report was given by Jim Fedorich. There is currently $1444.19 in our checkbook, of which $250 is tagged for the TIC program.  The treasurer’s report was accepted as read.

Jim reported our Annual Fundraising Banquet has been moved to April 14^th to hopefully accommodate better weather.  He mentioned that a mailing had been sent out to the membership.  Raffle tickets, meal tickets and copies of the menu are now available from any of the officers. 

Bob Hart read the current nominated slate of officers and chairmen for the 2011-2012 year.  Jim asked if there were any additional nominations at this time.  There were none and a motion was made and passed to close the nominations.  There was a second motion that was made and passed to have the Secretary cast a single vote to elect the slate of officers.

Congratulations to the new officers and thanks to the 2010-2011 officers for their hard work!

Bob Hart reported he had reviewed and edited a model of chapter by-laws as submitted by TU National.  He reviewed the changes with the attendees.  A vote was held and passed to accept the by-laws for our chapter.  Bob will forward a copy of the by-laws to Mike Alciati so he can post them on our chapter website.

The program for this evening was supposed to be a fly tying demonstration by Shawn Britton.  Unfortunately, Shawn took ill and was unable to make it so there was no program tonight.  We will try to reschedule Shawn for our February meeting which is to be held on February 7th at the Torrington Elks Club in Torrington, Connecticut at 7:30 PM.

The meeting adjourned at 8:00 PM.
