Farmington Valley TU Chapter is holding an "Angling Gear Tag Sale" on Wednesday, November 6th at the Farmington Community Center, 321 New Britain Avenue, Unionville, CT from 6-9pm. Admission is free. Northwest CT TU Chapter has reserved 2 tables for anyone interested in selling any equipment.

Northwest CT TU will be holding its annual Banquet on Saturday, February 8th, 2014. Jim thought that we might want to look at the menu to see if any changes should be made to the dinner selection.

Jim Fedorich was looking for candidates to replace the President’s, Treasurer’s, and fill a new 1st Vice President’s positions. Shawn Britton was open to 1st Vice President's positions as long as he was able to get plenty of help to transition into this position. Members voted and welcomed Shawn as the new 1st Vice President. Ron Leone is the 2nd Vice President.

Darlene Ostrosky could possibly be interested in the Treasurers position.

Dick Heffernon reported that 3 new schools are interested in "Trout in the Classroom" project.

1- The Housatonic Valley Regional High School - they have some large tanks that they would eventually like to use so they could raise the fish to adulthood. They must 1st check with the DEEP to get approval.

2- Kent Center School in Kent - 4th grade class

3- Washington Primary School in Washington Depot

Northwest CT TU applied for a permit to install up to 100 boulders in the Naugatuck River, waiting for the Army Corps of Engineers to sign the permit.

Pauline Krofssik and Darlene Stock were interested in getting more women involved in fly fishing and Trout Unlimited. Pauline is already involved in the "Casting For Recovery" organization.

There is talk about another "Women Gone Wild" event in 2014 in Harwinton. This event gives women the opportunity to get involved hunting, fishing and shooting sports.

Respectfully submitted,

Scott Richie
