NW CT Chapter of Trout Unlimited Minutes of Meeting February 2, 2016
The February meeting was called to order at 7:40 PM at the Torrington Elks Club by President Jim Fedorich. There were thirteen attendees.
The Secretary’s Report for January will be given next month.
The Treasurer’s Report was given by Treasurer Bill Richie. There is $1793.04 in our treasury with $150 slated for TIC. The treasurer’s report was accepted as read.
Jim Fedorich, Evan Williams and Dick Heffernon attended the last State Council meeting. Apparently, there were some chapters that had some of their treasury’s money lost or taken As a result, the Council decreed all chapters must set up an auditing procedure of their treasuries. Our Chapter has elected to go with a monthly audit of our checking account statement. Ron Leoni, 2nd Vice President, was elected to be the auditor of our statements.
As of tonight, we have 86 paid attendees to our Annual Fundraiser Dinner to be held on February 6th at the Elks Club in Torrington.
Dick Heffernon gave us an update on TIC. The schools are doing well. Washington Primary lost some eggs but we were able to replace those. There are also two schools that have expressed interest in working with larger fish. Dick will look in to this.
We held a quick fly swap tonight.
The program for the evening was a showing of the DVD “Searching for Steelhead”
The meeting adjourned at 9:15 PM.
Our March meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 at 7:30 PM at the Torrington Elks Club. The program for the evening will be an update by Tim Barry, Connecticut DEEP, on the State’s stocking program..
