Minutes of Meeting

September 7, 2013

The September meeting was called to order at 11:00 AM at the Matthies Grove Pavilion on the Farmington River by President Jim Fedorich.  There were seven attendees.

The Secretary’s report for June was read by Secretary Bob Hart and was accepted as read. 

The Treasurer’s Report for June/July/August was read by Treasurer Evan Williams.  There is currently $3169.41 in the treasury, with $250 earmarked for TIC.

Nominations for the 2013-2014 slate of Officers and Directors were made as follows:

A motion was made and seconded to modify our policy on signing checks against our treasury.  Any check $200 or less may be signed with only the signature of the Treasurer.  Any check greater than $200 must be signed by any two of the Treasurer, President or Secretary’s signatures.  This will help safeguard the monies in the treasury.

Jim Fedorich mentioned the Farmington Valley Chapter of TU will be holding their Gear Swap Meet on Wednesday, November 6^th in the Unionville Senior Center.  Our chapter will get a table for members and Bob Hart will get a second table.

Jim Fedorich made a motion that was carried to purchase a folding table and chairs for the Club.  To date we have been using Jim’s and this will allow us to mount hooks on the table to hang the Chapter banner.  The maximum spend limit for this will be $200.

The meeting ended at 11:30 AM.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 1^st, 2013 at the Torrington Elks Club in Torrington, Connecticut.  The meeting will include the election of Officers and Chairs for the next year.  The program is to be determined.
